Krista Jacobsen, CFA
President

Krista Jacobsen founded Touchstone Search in 2000 after starting her search practice in 1997. She specializes in senior-level recruiting for asset managers, banks, pension funds, broker/dealers and insurance companies. Her placements are concentrated in the areas of investment management and research, risk management, quantitative analysis, finance, audit, administration and executive management.

Prior to entering search, Krista was the Chief Investment Officer of First Republic Bank. She came to that position having been a Senior Fixed Income Portfolio Manager for Transamerica Investment Management where she specialized in the research and management of mortgage- and asset-backed securities and fixed income derivatives. Her career started in fixed income securities sales and trading with Bank of America. She has served as consultant to the UC Berkeley Haas School of Business's Masters of Financial Engineering program where she assisted students and graduates navigate the international career landscape.

Krista earned simultaneous Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Economics from UCLA, where she graduated summa cum laude. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a member of the San Francisco Society of Financial Analysts.

Donal Botkin
Consultant

Donal Botkin joined Touchstone in March of 2004. Donal has held senior positions in global investment management and consulting for over 25 years. After simultaneously receiving his Juris Doctor and MBA from Tulane University, he has held positions such as: Attorney, Investment Officer and Member of the International Asset Management Committee for Citibank NA; Director of International Research for the Frank Russell Company; Senior Vice President of Capital Markets Research for SEI Investment Company.
